I know this has probably been asked, but if I'm only able to go to the gym on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, on those days, what would be the muscle groups you would train on those days? I may be able to get in a Saturday morning workout but just focusing on those days for now just to get a good routine going.

First outside run for the year. Did 4 miles on the trail with the dog and and we're dead. Probably shouldn't have done legs last night.

Do upper/Lower days. Like heavy upper, then light lower, then light upper, then heavy lower.

I lift weights and am an ultra-endurance cyclist or randonneur as we are called by the French. I drive a pickup just to have room to transport my bike. Since I'm retired, I bicycle over 10,000 miles a year and if I'm lucky, will put maybe 4,000 miles a year on my truck.

Being lean and fit is better than bulk any day of the week.

I like to bike but haven’t been on it in a while. I prefer trails over road though. I can’t commit to that level of cardio right now lol

Lol that post is like 10years old

Since when is bulking the opposite of being lean and fit?

The Rock is lean and fit... body builders are lean and fit...

When I was involved with the martial arts, it was impossible to keep any weight on. You sweated it off in the dojos. I saw many a bulker get his head handed to him by a skinny little guy, who knew how to get in, land his punches and kicks and be gone before the big guy had a chance to react.

The Rock? He's huge and bulky. Sure he isn't fat, but he is far from what I would call lean like a runner or cyclist involved in long distance events. It's doubtful the Rock could last through too many endurance events.

Lol “lean” and the body shape of a long distance runner or cyclist is WAAAAAAAAAAY different my dude. Go do a google image search on distance vs. sprinters. Nobody in this thread is striving for distance physique. If they were they’d just quit eating or pull the trigger after a meal and throw it back up.

Muscle + size looks way better than this skinny “lean” you speak of. Ain’t no long distance runner going to step on a physique comp stage and win any sort of ribbons.

Runners and cyclists have bird chests, no arms, and look borderline anorexic. I’m not saying everybody should be way overbuilt, but that look is not one I would even remotely consider masculine.
