edit: jk i see its the upper BJ castle nut, did you take the copper pin out of it at least?

 

i soaked my stock ones the day before and i used a torch to heat the nut before i even tried bc she looked ugly when i swapped my uppers from stock. THe lower BJ nut took me and my brother and a 4.5ft cheater to break it loose. Hardest i have ever tried on a nut before no doubt.

 

I believe i read that they just replace the arm lol and that they dont even press them out. But i swapped to LR UCAs from stock so i just pitched mine, obviously you know the upper bjs on the LR UCA are different.

 

The I’ve had to cut almost as muny uppers off as I’ve been able to break off properly. I like the impact gun for shit like that. If it’s coming, it’ll come with fast hard hits. The slow pry from a breaker bar let’s it just slip on the nut imo

 

You guys going to have to swap that caliper over too? Bleed the brakes after?

 

Aw well hopefully that heat on the pad didn’t roast the piston in the caliper. Check to make sure it works before you go through that work to put it on.

Anyone have a photo if the dash showing the location of elocker on the 4runner or tacos?

just look at the diff. Actualtor is a big give away. Or if the drain plug is on the driver side.

Im just texting the guy right now, he said he didn't know if it had it or not. I think he doesn't know a ton about vehicles.

Its a 99, 5 speed, 138k for 6k. leather seats and sunroof.

Looks fairly clean, fender has a dent, and the drivers is torn where you get in and out. Saysit has a little lift on it. Not sure yet.

 

hmm sounds like a fair deal.

Grants was 6500 i think. Around that mileage..maybe less. Was a 5 speed limited so had all the bells and whistles.
