Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
The term 'overlanding' has definitely lost it's meaning, but I wouldn't say they've ruined it. I will agree that building rigs that never get used doesn't make any sense.

If you spend just a little more time and effort getting away from it all, there's still tons of places you can explore, camp, overland, whatever you want to call it, away from the insta-landers.

They make a good purchase for someone who doesn't mind someone else talking the depreciation, as long as it was built right.

I'm still not sure if I want to dabble in the 2500/3500 range. It'd be nice for towing but not so much for a DD.

Said anyone who's ever done anything after some group of people but before some other group of people. :p Like, say, move to Colorado... :D I've had a few family members in the RV scene since I was a kid, and it's been a 'new craze' every few years listening to them over the years. Insert "I was x before it was cool" meme of your choice here. ;)

Yeah it just picked up in the last hour here, and I just looked out the window to see an irrigation guy starting up the system on the property and trying to make adjustments... in 40mph gusts.
