Wheel and Tire "Will this fit/rub" stock, leveled, and lifted info inside (complete with poll)

After an EXHAUSTIVE search, I think I've found the right rims for my 275/70/17 BFG KO2s

I cant tell whether I'll need to purchase a hub centering ring. Any ideas? And are these 60 degree lugs gonna fit?

33x12.50 federal mud terrain with a 3 inch lift and 20” rims. Rubs when turning wheel all the way to park, that’s it.

Yes, those lugs are correct. Those wheels have a center bore of 108. You could get away without them, less than 1mm gap per side, but it's safer to have them.

Well, the whole thing sort revolved around my incessant desire to keep my stock wheels. The wheels on the TSS models are 17" and I really like them. In any case, I researched the issue for several months and several guys over in the 3rd Gen Maxtrac Forum were huge with info and help (shout out to @Leo4x2, @ChadsPride, @AustinNative, @SpruceTaco, Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and a whole bunch of others) and copied a lot of what had already been done. I did Maxtrac 4" spindles in the front with adjustable 5100 Billsteins set to zero with OME 887 coils for a total of 6.5" in front. Out back, Billstein ECD extended length 5100's with a 4" block and a @HeadStrong Off-Road 3-leaf AAL for a total of 5.5". Rides DEAD level. Also used carrier bearing drop kit from Headstrong and a 1.25" driveshaft spacer from 4Crawler.com. Oh, and I used 1.25" BORA wheel spacers in front and 1.75" in back. Riding on Falken Wildpeak AT3W 275/75/ 17's.

To add some more info- here is the cab mount chop, and at the bottom right corner you can just see the plastic part of the fender I cut for clearance. I also flattened the pinch weld. I have about 2.5" of lift, 16x8 wheels with 0mm offset and 4.5" back spacing with 285/75-16 tires. The wheels are just set under the fender and the tires just poke out from the fender.

 

So got a rim picked out. 18" with 4.5 backspace and -12 offset
Still in between the two size tires.
Leaning with the 265/70/18 cause less chance of rubbing inside but then the 275/65/18 because they are shorter and not sure if I would have a height issue.
You were saying it would be less chance of rubbing going skinnier over shorter?

 

I assume you're looking at an 18" x 9" wheel with those specs, correct?

The positioning of the wheel plays a large roll, and the width of the tire can make that worse. A narrower tire does have less of a chance rubbing than a wider tire. I'd think there'd be less of a chance with rubbing on the 265/70/18 tires, but a strong chance you'll need to trim due to the width and positioning of those wheels. Granted that positioning will look very attractive as it'll just stick out past the fenders.

My two cents on it is get what you like and make them fit. Cutting a little plastic in the wheel well is a very small price to pay to have the desired wheels and tires that you'd really like! With a little time and patience you can trim your fenders to where it isn't even noticeable. My last truck I was young and overly excited and just started hacking away so it didn't look as nice as it could, if you go slowly and trim the plastic with a little precision only you will know it's cut. You're not touching the exterior fender, just what's inside the wheel well so for anyone looking it won't be noticeable.

 

Yeah it would be those specs.

So where exactly would I have to trim? Looking at it I would guess it would be the fender where it's sits just under the plastic if the colour matched fender flare.
But that also would make more sense going with the wider tire but then again the taller one lol.

No not the top at all. I need to trim a bit more for my 285 tires but this section is primarily where you'll rub -

It's the rear of the wheel well.

Also a good alignment helps. Adding more caster moves the wheel further forward which helps aleviate some of the rubbing

 

ohh how much did you cut off?

 

Not too much, maybe an inch or two. Wish I took a before picture to compare for you. It'll be apparent where you're rubbing (if you rub) because the plastic will show black marks from the tires.
