You could just take the sway bar off for maximum offroading! Plus every onramp becomes an adventure

Remember to re torque everything after a hundred miles or so.

I am still debating this. I do a lot of winding on roads, so I'm skeptical. I'm still thinkin of trying it.

I have pelfreybilt skids now and there's no clearance issues with the sway anymore.

It's fairly easy to put back on if you don't like it. I took mine off and actually enjoy driving the truck more without it. Feels more like a truck. I have stiff springs in the front waiting for my bumper/winch though, so I'm probably not rolling as much as I could be. ymmv

Thanks, I will look into it, the sway bar was my initial thought...

I wish I could remove the sway bar, but my wife drives the truck and she has a heavy foot... 3 speeding tickets in 6 months, 9 total.. she doesn't learn.

I have a little clearance room, but will try to bend the mount a little just in case.
What size washers did you use and how many? Also do you have a list of all the torque specs? I sourced my specs from all over the forums but would feel more comfortable with a definate list that has proven no failure.

Sorry, can't remember for certain... maybe 4 or 5 max 3/8" washers?? I think it's 60 ft/lbs, but not sure. The smaller skid bolts are 22 lbs. I did put red loctite in the larger suppport brackets bolts, not on the skid bolts though, as they come off for oil changes.

I'm on the fence but leaning towards removing and testing.

Sorry I meant torque specs for all the fox suspension components. I’ll just have to do some searching again. I may just remove the swaybar completely.

Oh. Nice. Im prolly gonna join the sway delete with ya.

Yeah, can't remember all those specs for torque. I'll see what I can drum up in my notes.

Can barely remember what beer I just drank. :anonymous:

Just curious, is your truck your daily driver?

Edit: If I don’t like the swaybar delete then I may be “required” to upgrade skids for proper clearance. :D

It's more of a mobile locker room than anything.

I plan on doing this install sometime early June, don't really have much experience with this so I have a few questions.

    1. Did you guys replace the driver side needle bearing with the ECGS bushing during install? Anyone not do this and not have any vibes?

    2. Diff Drop a good idea for a less than 2.5" lift?

    3. Sounds like Sway Bar relocate kit or Sway Bar delete is necessary for stock skid

    4. Is angle grinding the rear shock mount worth doing for insurance? I'd rather not go off road and discover my rear shocks leaking everywhere.

    5. UCA Bolt removal, I've got Vise Grips and am ready to bend shit to get it out but is there anything else worth knowing before I tackle the bastard? This sounds like it's one of the hardest steps during install.
