I don't mind heading down there in a duo and meeting everyone on the beach. I'm on the Far West side of SA so if you come up with a time to take off ill be ready. Have no problem leaving early to get a full day out there.

Sounds good to me! Looks like the drive is about 3hrs to the beach from SA, then im assuming another two or so after we hit the sand. Want to leave SA around 6 or 630? Im not sure where we could meet up that would work good for both of us. Ill be coming down I10

We could just meet around 6:30am at 37 and 1604, maybe the bill millers down there. I'm assuming we would be taking 37 down

From mile marker 0 to mile marker 2.5: 15 MPH year-round

From mile marker 2.5 to Mansfield Channel: From the day after Labor Day through the last day of February: 25 MPH
From March 1st to Labor Day: 15 MPH

Pretty much 15 MPH the whole time on the sand for this time of year.

Somewhere nice to camp between the entrance and the maybe 30 or 35 MM.. that way I can sleep in a little Saturday, and then drive to the end and come back to the same spot to camp. Then I don't have to drive all 60 out on Sunday and then 4 hours home lol. That and I prefer quieter camping.

Well I had some free time today and jumped on it but I'm still happy to help install your short shifter!

The Bearcat 880 is pretty nice but they can be pricy.

If you're looking for something small and simple to communicate a few miles the Uniden CMX550 is really popular and does the trick.

As far as antennas go, you'll want either a Wilson or a FireStik. I have the FireStik FSII mounted in place of my factory antenna. They're known to be effective and easy to tune. If you can find a 2' 1/8 wave or 4' 1/4 wave you're set. For reference, I use a 2' 1/8 wave.

Still fits in parking garages too!

I agree but it I do like the it being right in front of my office. I also option for the extra meat for that fact to get full. Luckly for me it put me in a good enough mood to tolerate some heavy office bs today. Lol

Also on the topic of Tacomas, is there anyone here that has dealt with a seized lower control arm bolt? Did ya buy an oem set and grease it real good or an aftermarket set and grease it real good? Debating refurbishing the stock lca or buying a new set.
