Your taco is not the only one! I drive down to Oshkosh Toyota during a monsoon rain last fall to look at a used 2016 white ORDCSB. Road great. Folded down both rear seats and puddles in both cargo areas and soaked headliner. Researched and most said third brake light. Another good point is what if small leak and doesn't make it to seats but headliner will be MOLD CITY.
Tried another 2016 used ordcsb in Green Bay the next day and took it through the car wash. Sure enough. SAME LEAK!
Friend has a Dodge Ram with same leak. Dealer has been putting him off for a year about the seats. They keep claiming he added the leather seats after market and it is not covered. They were stalling. His case was closed due to inactivity. Next come the lawyers.
I bought a 2017 ordcsb. Went through the car wash twice before buying. The high pressure/big drying fan touchless type wash. Also slipped some peices of long paper toweling above headliner before car wash as a crude small leak indicator.

Time for you to get pissed and demand all new seats, headliner, and extended warranty.
Would not be surprised if a class action is in the works.

I took my pressure washer and blasted the rear windows and third brake light with water. So far, no leaks.

just saw it here after some heavy rains, it was along the back edge of the entire
rear window, couldn't find the source and can't imagine it's from the bed light seal
that most see the issue from - nothing on headliner or anywhere other than the ledge.

I'll assume now, nothing! :) Can't replicate it, we've never
heard of this issue before... blah blah blah I've mentioned it before to them
when I saw just a bit back there and when I called to drop it off this weekend
I asked if it was in my service records... Nope! Dealers have a bad habit of
not documenting things that may come back to bite them.

Yeah, would have pissed me off more if it really soaked the bug sub box
    have behind the seats.

That is absolutely unacceptable. Let us know what dealer says.

You will have mold and its a real health issue. Take owner or gen manager of dealership through a car wash with you. Have them pour a 5gal bucket of water on roof like u did.

    oh yeah ;)

I do that for each issue I have just so there's one more record of
what's going on with it. I'd just seal it myself if I could see where it's
coming from but with the center slider it's hard to tell.

Over 200K on the old 94 Hilux and not one leak ever. The truck was 100% made in Japan. Outsourcing cheap materials and moving production to $2.00 an hour auto workers in 3rd countries has been very good for Toyota executives and shareholders.

You need to head up the chain of command! Toyota has had to buy back a truck or two because of this leak that they know of! They are fixing it with new gaskets that are not pinched from the packing and shipping process. Don't let them say that this is the first time they have heard of this.
Luckily I have not had a leak. I hit the 3rd light with a zero tip sweeper nozzle every time I wash the truck just to make sure.

I noticed mine leaking after the car wash a couple months ago. It seemed suspiciously close to the time I installed my Prinsu. Worried about having something to do w/my install, I didn’t immediately exercise the warranty.

I read this post while waiting for a my 25K mile service, prompting me to have it looked at.

Result: replace 3rd brake light next week when the parts come in.

    Thanks for posting!

Third brake light, slider window or perhaps the vents behind the seats?

The 2 I saw that leaked in WI had wet ceiling. Either shark fin antenna or 3rd light.

Great for you! Does the suspension feel any stiffer than yours?

I ask cuz mine is so squishy...

Monsoon season here too in VA since last Tuesday and my 2016 Tacoma developed a leak through the whole upper portion of the rear windshield. Going service on Monday.
