    Agreed. I look at how the cost of things (lots of things) has gone up by an astronomical percentage since the good ole' days and then I glance at my pay-checks and notice that I'm not really keeping up with that increase.

    I remember driving by Wranglers that were for sale at the edge of farmer's lands for less than or equal to $1000.

    Now? Sheeee-Yit! Better have $25k down and expect another mortgage payment for that joker.

    <end rant>

    You may be able to answer this, my neighbors tree fell, currently leaning on the power line (main line and my homes line, basically fell at the intersection) Should she be responsible for the removal because it is her tree? or me because it is resting on my line.

    If you call it in we will cut it off of the line but will not haul it away.

    Today marks year 3 of the Taco. I guess it marks the official end of the 3yr basic warranty, too. Damnit.

    What's the best way to strip the paint off of a old deck 10'x20'? I was thinking belt sander since I want to paint it right after. Do I go with a 3x21" or 4x24". Or do I just pressure wash the old paint off?

    Rent a Flooring "orbital sander" and a crap ton of pads. Will make the job into a matter of hours instead of days.

    Edit: @Martyinco might know of better ways.

    Does it currently have paint or stain? If you plan on painting it with an actual color and not stain, I wouldn't put too much effort into getting down to bare wood, just enough to rough it up. You could use a belt sander with 80 grit, or rent a large sander from HD and hit it with 80 grit. Make sure if you do, go through the whole deck and hammer down the nails or screw in the screws.

    Fellas! Matt here from Driving Line. Long time TW member as well. Thanks for posting my Overland article here. I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on the subject. Glad to know that TW isn't full of the wannabes and still true to the real enthusiasts. I'm trying to make it out to FJ Summit this year, maybe I'll catch a few of you guys there.

    It is painted currently and we are going to paint it after we sand. I hear ya on roughing it up, definitely not going to spend a lot of time on it. Just want to make it look a little nicer
