No dislike at all, he's done an incredible job on transforming this vehicle, just suggestions for his product.

It's also not 'his own time', this is his business, his livelihood.

I think @OVTune has this tune pretty much perfect and if i was to request a custom tune to 1.04 it would be lower 3 - 4 shift by 300 rpms and 5 - 6 shift by 300 rpms with little to no throttle input just for cruising speeds. Driving around town at 30mph and 2100 rpms is a bit high to me. Other than that i believe 1.04 is perfect for my truck. I think matt should put out 5 or 6 eligible shift maps with different shift points based on what people are saying. Define each maps minimum shift points and i bet that would cover most peoples issue's with the shift patterns. This would eliminate a one size fits all scenario. Just my 2 cents.

At this point, I'm going to assume OVTune has figured out that there are a couple of different camps of customers who have very different driving expectations. I'm just going to sit tight and wait for an opportunity in the future to get a profile that makes the 3-4 low load/no load transition happen down around 29 mph instead of 32, just as long as that doesn't have any other unintended side effects like bringing back the 'fall on its face in turns' behavior or making the truck less snappy at higher throttle inputs. At one point Matt (Mat?) mentioned that gears 1, 2, 3 and 4, 5, 6 have different behavior patterns that are part of the hardware. So it might not be as simple as just tweaking one or two numbers.

Just be aware that not all people are having the same experience as you. I'm completely stock too but have issues sometimes with the 2-3 shift. Well, if I lift too early it'll "buck" sometimes.

Sounds like an issue somewhere between the steering wheel and the driver-side seat ;)

You got this easily @honey ... even a old man like myself figured it out. You’ll love it’s smoothness and how it digs going down the on ramp to a interstate 70 in 2nd!!!

Flashing 1.04 as we speak and just thinking out loud but do you think some peoples issues could possibly be from transmissions being low without them knowing? Ever since reading the low from factory thread I’ve been debating if I should just check mine to be on the safe side.

Anyone running this tune with a sprint booster / pedal commander. Wondering if it messes up the throttle mapping

I honestly don't know the answer to that. My transmission has been correctly filled since day one.

Because on a 50mph road you don't need to be at 3500rpm while you cruise for several miles maintaining that speed.

If you are at a very low load, there is no reason why the trans shouldn't shift into 6th with TC locked... I was between 43-46 yesterday in 6th. But once again, I have 4.88s so I get to the top end a lot faster than anyone who isn't geared. I run between 1900-1950 RPMs at 60 MPH...

    I don't see 3500rpm at 50mph during non-spirited driving. Only if I choose to

I have some questions about the shift tables and load maps for @OVTune .

    104 87 octane

Yesterday I drove in D ECT OFF. I experienced long sections of fwy where the truck held 5th for prolonged sections of road.

Today I ran same route but in S6 ECT OFF. The truck held 6th for the majority of the flat sections and held 5th on the small hills.

I also shifted to D from S6(truck in 6th, fusion app) and the truck would shift to 5th and hold. I would then shift back to S6 and the truck would hit 4th, then shift to 6th and hold that gear with same speed throttle position.

So the question is are these maps actually? Or should I chalk it up to the truck learning some fuel trim tables after 300 plus miles?

Can anyone else duplicate this in there truck?
    @OVTune ?
