Ladies and Gentlemen, I did a comprehensive look using the search function on TW as well as Google but could not find what I was looking for.

Can someone entertain me by confirming whether or not this style of jack will be tall enough to lift my 3rd gen just to do driveway wheel swaps? Rather then buying and having to return it I figured someone here would know.

Lift height is important, which isn't mentioned in the ad. I had to go with a 3-ton jack for the increased lifting height.

No. Buy a 3 ton jack from harbor freight and don't look back. I've used mine countless times for about 3 years and it's held up great.

+1 for harbor freight jack and stands. People say harbor freight makes junk tools, but my rule is "If they dont plug in or require electricity, then they are fine!"

I also recommend the 6 ton jack stands from there as well. They've got a wider base and can reach a lot higher than the 3 tons pictured above. Just make sure you get your 20% off coupon before you go in!

We use harbor freight jacks at the tow company I work for. We abuse them and they last about a year. But in that year we use them harder than a home use user ever would. Worth the money. If I ever break my 20 year old steel floor jack I will replace with a harbour freight one
