    A few minor things...
    New wheels!

    Method Roost 17x8.5-0

Not the greatest picture, but these wheels look great!

The stock wheels are +30 offset, these are 0. They fill out the wheel wells very nicely.

Big Decision: Which looks better in the rear receiver, Shackle or Hook when I'm not needing one other the other "in use":

If you go to the hook, I would flip it upside down when you're not using it. That point can be nasty...

Personally I prefer to use a receiver plug rather than leave either one of my recovery devices in the hitch. Keeps them clean, rust free, eliminates rattle and minimizes risk of theft. But that's me and only my opinion. Whatever suits YOU is the proper response. Diversity is what makes modding fun so have fun with it and go with what you like best.:thumbsup:

Finally got around to installing my lift. 5100's, 888 OME coils, light racing UCAs, and HS 3 AAL. Also installed a u bolt flip kit while I was in there.

    Tires in a week.

Agreed on the "leave it out until you need it" I keep mine in a bag with all of my straps, softeners, shackles, etc., until I am going to be in a situation where I may need them. Keeps them clean, and most importantly, not in someone else's hands.

I off-road for work (pipeline right of way, forestry haul roads, lease roads, ice roads) and only put them out when I think I might need a pull - and before I am stuck. There have been times where I have my receiver shackles in with tow straps shackled in place ready to hook on so I am not crawling through the mud to connect.

Alright, I’m still new to trucks and truck stuff but what’s the deal with the u-bolt flip kit? What purpose does it serve? I could probably google it but I like the feedback you guys provide.

Is it really that big of a deal? It doesn’t seem to be that much more clearance. Or is it more for the tire clearance. Because from what I see, the differential still hangs lower than the u-bolts.

I’d go shackle. It ties in nicely with the red letters. If the hook were red I’d say hook though.
