I remember that. My posts were taking twice as long because I would have to double check everything before posting.

 

I use Chrome, which means that it tries to autocorrect everything I'm typing too. Keeps turning "one" to "on" "then" to "the" and some other weird ones. Annoying, but I haven't figured out how to turn it off yet so I just deal with having to make the occasional edit.

 

Chrome autocorrects for you? On mobile or desktop? I've never seen that on either, actually. It does the auto spellcheck, but never seen it autocorrect.

 

I use Brave browser, which is based off of chrome, but more secure.

 

Is that something for mobile only, or could I download it on my personal laptop?

 

I use it on Android. But it looks like it's also for iOS, Mac, Linux and Windows.

 

I thought that it was a windows 10 thing, but I asked the guys in IT and they say that it's a Google Chrome thing.

 

Cool. Gonna give it a try then. My Chrome has been 'acting up" lately... I have Kaspersky (spelling??!!) for my antivirus, and lately I keep getting a constant pop up when I am on it, that it's blocking a site/download. I've tried to figure out how to make it stop popping up, but can't... wondering if it's something F'ed up with Chrome. Even uninstalled and re-installed it, and still does it. Full virus scan on the laptop turns up nothing.

 

On mobile, the keyboard does autocorrect. On the desktop, could be the browser or OS.

Weird, I'm on Win10 and Chrome and don't have any autocorrect, probably for the better haha.

 

Color me jealous. It's a pain in the butt sometimes. There's probably some way to turn it off, but I'm not computer literate enough to figure it out.

 

Chrome is Google's proprietary build of Chromium. I should say Brave is based on Chromium, not Chrome. It'll be 95% the same, but some things may not work, such as Netflix due to lack of proprietary codecs/drm.

 

AH. Gotcha. Don't really use NetFlix... but I have tried to use this streaming service called Vudu, but doesn't seem to work... says I need to enalble my flash player, which it is, but won't work. But works fine on Microsoft Edge (which I guess is the new Explorer). Go figure.

 

+1 for Kaspersky, been using it for 8+ years on 2 laptops and my cell phone. great antivirus.

 

For sure. Nothing bad to say about it.

 

I'm a Linux user. Linux usually gets the shaft on proper drivers and codecs.

 

That sucks.

 

It's usually not a big deal. Sometimes it's for the better, or sometimes just means waiting a little longer than the rest of the world.
