Make sure to post back with a followup review of what you think after driving it a while please. Can you also post up a side pic? Do you know what this setup netted you in lift?

Well, the clearance aspect is more for protection from objects that could cause you to make contact with, and then break a U-Bolt and then lose an axle. Not to keep you from getting hung up on anything.

I run a multipurpose tool in mine. Step, recovery point, and bumper protection.

Liked the fact that you painted the hook red, something I intend on doing as well. I can see me whacking my shin on that sucker!

I used to have a 3/4 ton diesel with a 13k# pintle hitch. That lasted in there about 2 weeks before I painted it fluorescent green/orange. Another plus with the Beaver Step, no busted shins.

Ha! Funny, didn't know @Rob Daman ran one too! It really does do a great job of protecting your bumper but as a recovery point nothing is easier to use. I use it to pull shit around on the property all the time.

The price ins't bad either considering all the uses.

Today I got notification from my Lemon Law attorney that Toyota is going to purchase my 2016 TRD off-road 6 Speed auto transmission back from me. I've had the TSB service done multiple times and nothing seems to work. My Tacomas been to the dealership three times for a total of 37 days. They even had a Toyota technician drive it with me and tell me it's the worst one he's ever felt, the constant shifting and gear hunting. It's surges and lunges. after the 37 days they told me everything was normal and it drives as engineered and manufactured. So I hired an attorney and within 2 weeks Toyota USA has offered to buy my truck back. Pretty interesting how they said it was normal and tried to keep me quiet. I guess I will go back to a SuperCrew EcoBoost F-150. That's what I had before I got this smaller and more reasonably size truck. But I've been so disappointed with it even though I've had three other Toyota pickups / Tacomas in the past. Just a heads up to everybody that's having these shifting issues in the 3rd Generation. It's not right this engine and transmission is not paired correctly and they have an issue. My attorney after reading through this website and watching the YouTube videos and seeing the videos I made for him during a drive to Florida from Cleveland is considering doing a class action lawsuit against Toyota. He sees Mega dollar signs in his eyes. I was just worried about myself. Sorry guys.

My only issue with it is that it likes to grab the random leaves and plant matter that fall into it and won’t let go. I can’t just leafblower the stuff out, I have to crawl in there and pluck them out. Aside from that, I love it. And the shell goes on next week so that eliminates that issue altogether.

As I mentioned, I drove from Cleveland to Tampa Florida down I-71 and I-75. I started making tally marks of how often my transmission was shifting out of 6 gear and into 5th and into 4th and into 3rd gear. Eventually as I started getting into the hillyier areas south of Columbus my truck rarely ever went back into 6th Gear and I stopped making the tally marks. As i went through the mountains it probably shifted from 5th gear to 4th gear to 3rd gear up to eight times per minute / mile. I estimate it, on that 1100 mile drive from Cleveland to Tampa, it shifted, on the highway, at 70 miles an hour over three thousand times. And that was just one way. After my attorney saw this these videos his eyes lit up. Just an FYI this isn't normal.
