Phew! Sorry to hear about your tranny troubles. Ever consider going with the manual 6 speed? Love mine but then I've always been a manual guy anyway.

I have considered it and my attorney suggested i could get more "compensation" from Toyota if i went that route. I'm am afraid that the gearing of the manual will still not pair very well with the 3.5 they elected to use in this truck. It really makes a lot of torque but it has to spool up to 3500rpms to do it.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Welp, crews are out throwing more salt on the roads. Bit of drizzle right now, supposed to rain later, then freeze. There's talk of snow by morning.

    Yay, Spring! \o/

What can I say, have lead foot, will travel fast. :burnrubber:

The pisser is, he was sitting in the dark on the by-pass with his radar off and now all out State boys have blacked out non reflective cruisers. Guess he saw me coming hard from way back with my new Hikari lows/highs full on and when I was on top of him threw it on. I have a Escort Redline radar detector. One of the best on the market. Undetectable. I normally have at least a 2 mile range in open terrain. Where he was I would have detected him as soon as I got into it. Naturally, with family in the business I respected him and yes sir'ed him to death, and I think my Blue Line flag window decal may have helped a little too, but he came back with "more than 5 years without a ticket so here's a warning". I was very grateful. It would have been a larger than normal fine. :bananadead:

Nice job. Hope it doesn’t affect your outcome to own a taco again maybe.

Yea I estimated it would have seriously cut into my lift kit fund. Can't even have any setbacks on that!

I love mine and have had no issues with it. I use mine as a daily driver but also to hunt and fish with. I don't do any rock crawling per say although a couple of the ares that I use to hunt and fish can be kind of dicey at times. I would suggest that you test drive one to get a better idea if it will suit your wants and needs. If it works to your satisfaction you'll still be in a Taco.

Looking at a 2018 Rubicon or a 2.7 ecoboost f150 supercrew. Both have $52k stickers.

Tough call. For me, I'd have to use the shackle because that would allow me to barely fit in my garage.
