A friend of mine gave me a group 31M battery so I said to myself, self, why not drop that puppy into the Taco! So that’s what I did.

It is plenty of room I have been running the same X2Power 31M in a @Pelfreybilt cage for well over a year now. No issues.

Does it start up faster or load anything on the HU faster with a larger battery, or just give you a longer battery lifespan?

I have the same battery. DEFINITELY kicks over stronger and faster. Also I had an issue with the dash settings being reset when I cranked and the voltage dipped too low, this battery solved it.

1150 cold cranking amps is almost three times the stock battery so I’m sure it’s going to perform quite well.

Nice battery! If you feel the stock tie downs aren't doing the trick, we offer a Group 31 Battery Cage:

Friend of mine for similar time gave me a few $$$ to help buy a house. I can confidently say, your real friends are the ones who stick around that long.

I would guess the Factory Group 24 Battery probably weighs around 45 pounds.
