First, is REI still doing that discount code or whatever to members? There’s not one close to me, but can I join online and get in on a discount?

Ok, I’m about to purchase a Tepui finally.

Ruggedized and Olive in color. Those are for sure.

I like the idea of the Autana 3, because I can add the annex on and the lady can have a place to change and what not. I have a Brute Force Bed Rack though, I’m not sure I’d be able to stand up in that area though, 6’1”. How long is the annex sides? I could put the tent on my Prinsu, but that’s why I bought the bed rack lol

Or I could go with the Kukenam 3, it isn’t much cheaper, but it does weigh around 40lbs lighter, still a good quality tent I believe. Plenty of room for me and someone else, maybe a child.

I’m here looking for ideas on what you do and don’t be like. Looking to purchase boot bags, sheets, everything all at once, it’s been 2 years I’ve been putting this off

The Autana Ruggedized is an awesome tent and probably the most versatile. Ideally you'll mount the tent at or around 6' from the ground to utilize the full height of the annex and minimize needing to duck under the cantilevered side of the open tent. If you're 6'1" getting it up that high would be ideal but I realize not always possible if it's on a bedrack at a lower height. FWIW, I have had mine mounted to my Land Cruiser roofrack that is at 6'10" from the ground and the annex still reaches the ground fine, but that's about the heighest you'd want it before needing an annex extension.

IMO, the weight difference between the Kukenam and Autana is not enough to rule out the Autana based on weight alone. Also, my wife strongly prefers our Autana over our Kukenam (have both) because of the annex and being able to change and have some privacy. Also great if you need to sleep a couple other people inside the annex.

In case you're not aware and are unable to use REI for whatever reason, I offer a 10% discount on Tepui products to TW members.

Thank you! I may just suck it up and go with the Autana then. I’ll measure from the ground to the top of my rack, it’s gotta be ckise to 6’

Yeah I just seen this online but didn’t know how true it was. I missed it last year as well

Any idea when the next one is? But I didn’t see a ruggedized Autana on their site, just the Kukenam

FYI to anyone interested. We will match that discount from rei. No reason to give those extra points to rei when we can give them to our customers.

I never looked at CVT tents. I’m looking for something similar to the Tepui Ruggedized Autana 3. Id like to sleep 2 adults comfortably usually, but sometimes with a child as well.
20% is better than 15% I can get with the competition. I know CVT and Tepui are huge companies and make great products.

I like the integrated light, USB ports, and a few other details vs the competition.

Looking for input on the Mt. Rainier extended on a short bed. I plan to run a full length rack, but know that the tent is 12" longer than the bed itself still. Will this overhang be ok?

I believe we got about $120 back in dividends from our Kukenam. But that's cool of CVT. Will probably be my route the next time around in a few years

Mind sharing a picture of your setup? Which rack are you running?
