Just went for a brap 4-5psi no ping, no hesitation. I'm thinking I have a tiny bit of belt slip and a lot of stock intake restriction

So how do you fix the intake? Deck plate or something? Honest question.

Gonna first try taking all the resonators out and replace with straight tube.

So close. It's I-880 South off Jackson St. and the 92 interchange approaching Tennyson Blvd in Hayward.

Hmm I think I figured out why the boost was low, I think I didn't adjust the bypass correctly. I don't think it has been closing all the way.

Do you guys have tags for the front plate as well. I know they did in Oregon, Washington only gives you tags/tabs for the rear. I have never had a front plate up here.

Another option not mentioned is don't go to college. I didn't and am doing pretty well. (Bought my 1st house alone, own 2 trucks, make lots of money lol) and have your average not out of reach job with benefits, retirement, paid sick and vacation (3 weeks off so far in my first year) and tons of chances for advancment lol.

Do go if the job you want requires but if your going just to because then I'd rethink it.

Course I had to pay for my own schooling if I wanted to go but took the time and money j saved and invested it elsewhere.

Now tacoma related, I opened my garage and looked at it haha

Yep. California requires front tags. People hate it but I like it. Makes it easier to record someone’s info if there’s a dunk driver or you need to report it to the highway patrol.

Plus, if you get into a hit and run our plates have raised characters so this ends up happening:

I’m going because the job I want requires it. I want to live where I currently do because, well, it’s Home. Getting a degree means job security around here. Not to mention money.

But I see what your saying. Tons of people get out of highschool and just go straight to work around here, until the oilfield crashes and then they have to move.

Probably the only smart car related law we have.

Oh and the 'HOV OK' stickers. Hybrids and electric cars apply for this sticker that allows you to drive solo in the HOV lane.

You won't like that law when you can't put your front plate anywhere on your new bumper. I stopped running front plates years ago even though Washington demanded it too. In AZ they only give you one plate anyway so at least here I can't get cited for it

@Speedytech7 I owe you a beer if we ever meet...

I went back out to check on that brass fitting you mentioned to @HamerMan in the bypass valve as a possible culprit to his poor supercharger performance...low and behold, I found the fucker sucked into the vacuum line about an inch into the tube. I removed it with some pliers, and it's like my fucking truck is finally supercharged now...I can actually hit boost in 1st gear which I could never do before and had always written off as normal...and the boost comes on MUCH quicker in every other gear, whereas previously I'd have to floor it for a few seconds before I'd start to hit 4 -5 psi. This one's for you!! :drunk:

@HamerMan, I remember you said your bypass valve didn't have that fitting and I thought the same thing about mine, check the hose because I bet you it got sucked into there like mine did.

I’ll find a way, lol. It’s going to be a while until I get a winch so it’ll go over the winch hole for a while.

I shall always run front plate less, they look stupid. I have a good spot for one on the cruiser and don't run it just out of spite. I've always had my plates in the vehicle passenger seat pocket to say "uh it fell of officer" though haha

You should use 4 wheel drive before you get a winch :)

@eon_blue I'm glad that helped you. If you have any ideas why I might be only getting 3-4psi I'm all ears. Not sure what's up but I wonder if maybe my boost gauge isn't quite accurate...

I'll have to go back and read some to get caught up...about to head out for my hockey game but I'll take a look in a bit. How much boost is that kit supposed to be producing, 6 psi?
