I will say Red Bull did an excellent job stacking both pit stops and not making any mistakes last weekend. I believe they were all sub 3 sec stops as well or close to it.

 

It's about time. Restricting fuel flow, capacity, and refueling options are some of the worst things to happen in any kind of racing.

 

Right now its a torque sensor (is my understanding). So when it hits the right torque it gives the go signal. Cross thread the nut and you hit the torque value to soon giving the go signal. Hence the new system requiring both torque and location sensor.

Yep. Depending on the series its a green light, dropping flag/sign/arm, wave, a crew member leaving the front of the box, whatever. That's the only thing a race driver looks at.

 

The driver is also busy changing things on the steering wheel so not exactly paying attention to the wheels if at all.

Kind of interesting they are partnering with nbc (and others). NBC had the rights before this year and loses them to ESPN but then gets them for the official f1 online streaming

 

Not available in Canada, I guess Sky has digital rights there? And yet it is available in the US, where we watch the Sky broadcast via ESPN. Television is a funny place these days.

It's not NBC network/cable TV, it's "NBC Player" which I believe is a streaming app -- probably from the Comcast stable. ("On demand" = streaming.) Television is a funny place these days.

 

TSN holds the rights to F1 in Canada , it just runs the Sky feed same way ESPN does .

I was surprised Canada was not available but I would not be buying the service personally , I'm happy with the coverage I already get
