there is a bracket on the second spring that raps around the top spring on the ends. look to be riveted on. then there was a bracket on the overload spring that goes up the sides but not around left it on. then the new 3 leaf aal comes with a bracket that is on the top spring of the aal that bolts around the the top two factory springs that i also put on.

They look like Dodge, errr Ram tow-pkg mirrors. But I'm more interested on how he got them to mount clean to the Tacoma?

They are the ProEFX Tow Mirrors from LKQ. Given my reduced rearward visibility I wanted to upgrade the mirrors to help, and they are a nice upgrade from the stock mirrors. There is a thread in the Group Buy section on these, though I am not sure there is a current group buy going right now.

yes I left them on, didn't seem to be in the way of anything and also has the bolt for the e-brake cable.

Curious as to why Icon highly recommends NOT retaining the overload leaf. Why is that?

    Too few to list.
Pics? The bracket on the Wheelers progressive AAL interferes with the stock overload brackets. Did you just bend them?

He has a 2011 which unless he got the TSB done will have the old 2+1 leaf setup. I too installed the wheelers 3 leaf aal to my 2+1 leaf setup and kept the overload. No bracket issues at all. I think the issues only pertain to keeping the overload with the TSB 3+1 leaf setup.

Don't haul much in the bed. Besides the height difference does keeping the overload leaf in with my progressive 3 leaf AAL have any other advantage? It seems that people say ride quality is better but only when hauling heavy loads? Basically if i have just some fishing gear in the back and i leave the overload in along w the AAL is the ride still going to be fine?

i left my overload leaf in and it rides fine with a load and without a load...if you dont haul stuff, you shouldnt keep the overload leaf in

I left it in to get 2” in the back with 2.5 up front. Sits just a little higher in back but looks level.
