Christmas came early this year :). Finally started and completed my S/C install. Even got the girlfriend to help out :D.
Taking the truck in for TRD flash Friday morning. Then will get OVTune with my handheld after that since my SC calibration is set up but my stock cal is not. I'l try to get a dyno of of each. Still waiting on my URD ypipe that's on backorder. Speedhut gauges are in production. DTST headers, vibrant GESI high output cats, URD fuel pump kit, and 2.85 pulley sitting on the bench ready to go.

For torque of the crankshaft pulley on automatics, I recommend using this tool which I got as a loaner tool from O'Reilly auto parts. Held the pulley perfectly.

Here's a log that shows what the 7th injector is doing, duty cycle-wise on a WOT run.

Ahh! Thats a lot better than just a static 38% duty across the board! I'm still a little curious what the logic is behind "self tuning" nature of the UCON and how it would still command a pulse width that equates to a 38% IDC (for the 7th) at such different IDC's for the primary injectors. Any chance you have a log from when you were running the TRD injectors? I'm asking because I'm curious if the 7th injector mapping is constant and not in closed loop like the primary injectors are.

    Thanks for sharing that loginfailed!

I'm not terribly familiar with the UCON, but what parameters can be logged? Are you able to define what channels you want logged or is it just a bowl of soup.. You can have all or none?

Me too. So @GT7 ,does your ovtune allow tuning if you took it to a shop and put it on the dyno?

Found this one with the TRD injectors. 95% on the mains, 41.2% on the 7th. If you look at sensors.wraf it is 12.6 AFR but fuel.afr.command is 11.4 AFR. Basically, the main six TRD injectors are maxed out here. UCON is targeting 11.4 AFR and the injectors are maxed out and cant deliver enough fuel to reach 11.4. Only enough juice for 12.6 AFR. Boost referencing the fuel pressure regulator may have helped some, but the 95% duty cycle is the main issue.

    95dc.jpg

As far as what can be logged.

    RPM
    MAF g/s
    Air Load
    Vehicle Speed
    Pedal Position %
    Throttle Position %
    Spark Angle
    Fuel adaptive correction
    Active injector correction
    Commanded AFR
    WRAF sensed AFR (bank1 bank2)
    Engine coolant temp
    Intake air temp
    Aftermarket widebands (if connected)
    MAF voltage
    Main injector duty cycle
    Aux injector duty cycle (7th)
    Injector pulse-width (ms)
    System voltage
    Intake cam angles
    Etc.

You can change what it logs. I don't know exactly how to do it, but out of the box the software pretty much logs everything. It is all organized into tabs.

Would anyone care to lend a hand with a possible low boost issue. Just finished installing my SC on my 4cyl 1st gen and according to the previous owner of the SC it made around 6.5-7.5psi but my gauge is only registering 3ish. I checked that everything was tight and but I'm new to all this. I had to replace my bypass actuator so I'm not sure how to test if that is adjusted right but I've moved it around a bit withou any real changes in boost. Any help is appreciated...

What type of gauge was he using vs you? I’ve read online some gauges compensate for altitute while some do not, which can make a big difference. Now if you are at sea level in that situation, they should both read the same so If that’s the case then I really don’t know what to say.
