Good .40 S&W for Concealed Carry?

What's a good .40 Compact/Subcompact for Concealed Carry that's not too expensive? I've been looking at FNH, but I think they are too big. I have a SA and really like em, just looking at different options. Anybody have any opinions?

I carry a Springfield XD-40 SubCompact. Hold 10 rounds, and awesome.

 

Glock 27.

 

Another vote for the springfield xd40 sub compact, great gun, comparable to a glock, however if you want aftermarket parts galore go with the glock.

I like the 33 .357 sig. myself in the sub compact size.
Can't go wrong with the plastic fantastic!!!

 

IMHO, nothing beats the authoritative sound of the venerable .45 ACP. When I carry concealed, it's a Springfield Ultracompact with Trjicon sights stoked with Remington Gold Saber 185gr +P tucked into a IWB holster in the small of the back. For open carry on the Appalachian Trail I have a Springfield 1911A1 with laser grips stoked with Remington Golden Saber 230gr in a government holster.

 

I carry a G27 (.40cal) and my only complaint is that it's fat and heavy. Now the traid off from say a Kahr Arms pistol that is similar is number of rounds. I get 10+1 with extended mag bottom the Kahr is about 6. I have shot the Kahr and it's a fine pistol, a little expensive but, much more comfortable.
In a armed conflict, your response should be a violent, fast, and intense action to stop the threat from killing you, another person, or causing great bodily injury. Which means putting as many rounds on your attacker as possible in a short amount of time, reloading and assessing the situation.

 

Either the XD 40 Compact or the Glock 27.

Well, I know SA XDs fit well. I tried a Glock 17 or 19, something like that, and hated the grip. It felt like I was holding a 2x4, but maybe the compacts are different. Unfortunately, most of the gun shops around here have inventory that goes like this: 40% Glocks, 20% Taurus, 15% SA, 10% S&W, 5% Sig, 10% misc (CZ, HK, Colt, Walther, etc.)

Anybody know anything about Para? Specifically the Warthog? Its a .45, which someone mentioned earlier.

First choice, Kahr P40.

If I had to have a dbl stack, Springer XD.
