Did you build your own rack for the 5' bed? If so can you send me the dimensions or sell me your rack?

Yes, I'm trying to get one in the next 2 weeks but that may suffice if I don't get my hands on a welder before then.

Should have watched the for sale thread or in here. I was selling mine. Dropped down to 50 bucks. Still no takers. So I threw it away.

I did see that. Why did you get rid of it? Is that no a good option long term? From everything I've read so far, everyone has totally different situations. People with hard tops need coverage all the time but I currently park in a garage so the softopper is fine. I'm wondering what is best long term for a roof top tent?

I don’t see why not. As long as it’s not too high, which those look about right, and they are off the bed rails then it’ll work.

Nice.. yeah and they are apparently reversible so either raise up or lower the profile is an option.

Seems like a cool product. I almost got those at one point for mine. But got an entire rack instead.

    I don’t think it’ll work

There’s no trough for the folded topper to rest in.

    See my original post

Oh yeah...not tall enough. I forgot about that part.

You could still do it, you’d just have to remove the top (two pins) in order to deploy the tent.

Did anyone figure out if this would support the weight of the tent and two people? Also, I’m confused on what you mean about a “trough”. I don’t mind removing the softopper completely to open the tent but would like to switch between this set up and having it on top of my Prinsu, depending on how much gear I have for the trip. The purpose of this setup is also to fit in my garage and avoid $12,000 worth of hail damage again this June. It is not to look cool lol

They wont work as the original design The "Trough" is a place where the folded tent can lie in making enough room to clear the bottom of the tent,

With that rack you would have to remove the topper every time you opened the tent, which in my opinion would be a a pain in the ass, especially the way the toppers are designed.
