    Kings Row cave.
If you only do one cave tour, do this one.

Both tours are about 40 minutes long.Lauren and i got a private tour of this cave, perks of going during the slow season.
Interesting story about this cave, it was discovered by a crazy cave dude who worked for the park several yeasr ago. He was exploring the Fairy caves and found a passage thet went deep in to the mountain until it was only 6" wide. Then the crazy bastard used dynamite to enlarge the hole to 11" so he could squeeze thru.
After dropping down, he found this enornmous cavern adn sone of the coolest formations in North America.
He kept it a secret and offered to buy the relatively useless section of mountain, for a sum of $16,000.00.
No typo. And he then kept it all to himself until he died. The new owners have since opened it up.

This one is called Oscar and is the fastest growing formation.
It's fed from the "straw" directly above.

Wal Mart variety cave bacon, all fat.

Looking up from a couple levels down.

The bottom right, below that railing is the point where crazy cave dude popped out after crawling down the other side of that rock face thru some crazy narrow passage way.
The original stairways are wood and the new ones are concrete.
end of the line for the tour, but the cave goes on and spelunkers still are exploring it.
They have a pretty neat light show for this one.

Fortunately for me, the big swing was down. I did however do the Mine drop.
That scared the shit out of me, so I did it again.

Crazy to think she's almost an empty nester. They have a nice (for work, not some Garage Journal museum) detached 4 car garage with an overhead office/workout room, too. I'm quite jealous of their setup.

HAHAHA You read that one too, did ya?! Yes, I did. Again, opinionated, and always makes for a good debate. I like your take on the overlanding topic though. It's totally true.

I haven't been to it in 20 years, so maybe its gotten worse. Used to really enjoy going on the free admission for a can of food days.
