Soooooo worked out a deal with the dealer and going to be picking up a 2016 4Runner SR5 premium this weekend

 

I wanted to have my boat wrapped, it was gonna cost me $2k. No thanks

 

yea i had quotes for like 2.5-4k

 

Well I mean... you don't want to cheap out on wrap because eventually it'll fade and look like shit if you buy the cheap shit. In addition you want a guy who takes the time to prep it properly - I see a lot of guys doing shotty work, shitty cuts and jagged edges... In this line of work you get what you pay for.

 

What is it new vehicle month on TW?

 

Heard back from one quote request for the wrapping... estimating $500.00

Well it really depends on what you want though - you're looking at the difference between something removable that protects what's under it vs something that's permanent as fuck. lol

I would love to Line-X my whole truck, but I wonder about how heavy that would be. And I'd assume that would make it harder to fix dents haha

 

makes it harder to get dents, they use it to bomb proof the pentagon, and itll add like 70lbs or so probably less

 

I already have plenty of pin stripes so whats the point in protection, just make a permanent fix and prevent worse

 

I will definitely ask the guys at the Line-X place I go to next time. I'd love for them to wire wheel the frame, then strip it, prime it, and Line-X it all. I feel like that would solve a lot of the rust issues haha

 

Until you have a small crack in the line x and water gets trapped under.
