Ordered one set of beef tubes and the coupler needed for the wb8 driveshafts. Went to WS this afternoon, as my last stop was 13 mins away. Was a good little solo run, for about 1.5-2 hours. Some chick came down to the rock garden and was trying to dig a “fossil” out of the wall by the waterfall lol. Broke an end link from a tumble, but was able to stick it back in and finish up lol.

 

Haha love it, yeah he is lucky to have gotten out of there, that gravel road is rough stuff on jeeps

 

Some guy set up a rally course in his yard, so racing on 4/29 is still on.

awww shit! i think that is a bit long for the deadbolt though....

 

Hrmm, it's a pain in the ass but I can adjust my ascender to fit that body.

 

Is it more than just changing steering links? I think that's all that needs to be changed on the SCX for the longer wheelbase.

 

I have an adjustable frame, it requires some dissassembly

 

Monster decals came in yesterday for the Subaru body. Still waiting on motor/etc and Supra body to come in from China. It's said "Arrived at processing centre" since 4/11 with no further updates. So, I think it's still in Hong Kong. I guess I'll paint the Subaru this weekend. Is Liquid Mask a lot easier/cleaner than tape? Is it worth the cost?

Its definitely cool. Maybe this means they'll make a 2nd gen at some point.

 

that body might be motivation for a new 12.3 inch build.. licensed Methods and everything, considering a dually build though

 

Convert the honcho to a flat bed dually, then build a 1st gen and maybe Brett can build you some tube bumpers and a bed rack. Mount some scale tredpros and RTT.

 

I dont mess with mine anymore. Im probably going to throw it all up for sale to fund real truck parts unless its basically worthless.

On another note, beef tubes are installed and replaced the queefing driveshaft. Just waterproofed the new RX, about to see about getting snorkle installed on honcho can. Ordered a beefier servo horn, as mines bent. Considering buying some long link spacers and pushing the front axle forward 4-8mm. Would give me a little longer wheelbase, and not have the servo as susceptible to being smashed into a rock. May or may not have acccidentally upgraded wheels to some vanquish methods, CI foams, and Voodoo U4 gold compounds. I wanna playyyy!!

Shipping status from HK Post has finally updated to say my package is on the way to the US.

I got the body masked off and started laying down the black paint. Should finish the body by tomorrow, and will probably pick up a servo. Then just waiting for the mailman to bring the final goodies.

 

Anyone down for a crawl later?
