That's funny I was going to say the opposite. I called 2 days a ago and left a message (seems like it didn't matter what extension you dialed it went to their general mailbox) and I haven't gotten any reply as of yet

 

Email them. I called. No call back after a couple hours. But I’m impatient. So I emailed.

I think for now online only. This whole deal may have been a gauge to see if it would sell in stores.

 

I dont think they will be putting in the stores. As my local Costco has a full corner set up for the RinseKit....

 

Got it on and mounted to the bedrail. My package did not come with the neoprene cover you see on pictures, and I had one slim box that was empty, might be just a packing error.

If you're mounting to the bed rail, I would recommend throwing away the plastic t-slot nuts that came with it and using your own metal ones. The plastic t-slots it comes with has these thin nuts that tend to fall out or slip out. So when you're trying to get the middle bolt in there the nut slips out and the bolt cannot get in deep enough (the mount and washer is in the way) to thread into the nut. If the bolt was 1/4" longer it would probably be OK. What I ended up doing was putting the bolt/mount/washer/nuts together first by threading the bolts just a little into the T-slot nuts before feeding the unit as a whole into the bed rail from the rear (just barely got it on on the 3rd gen Tacoma, ymmv). Then it was just a simple matter of tightening the bolts with a 1/2" crescent and socket.

They recommend using a bolt or a padlock to secure the QD mount in place. You cannot use a full-sized padlock for this purpose, the hole isn't big enough. I was able to use this travel padlock I normally use on luggage for the purpose. Probably not gonna stop a determined thief though.

As you can see, this will not work with any sort of tonneau cover. Seems like there's a good 2"-3" of room between the Waterport and the wheel well humps, seems like Waterport could fabricate a longer dropped-down mount and it might work with a tonneau.

 

I called Costco earlier because my status just remained "order received"

They told me my order got LOST. It had not been shipped out at all and they told me they dropped the ball.

 

I called yesterday and they said i should get a notification of shipment by end of the week, nothing so far.

I fear they may have dropped the ball on me too.
