    NC doesn't tax you on out of state purchases unless the company has a base here in NC. Damn you cabela's and Bass Pro! I bought several vehicles out of state and never paid any additional taxes on them except our standard registration stuff. We only get one tax free holiday for school supplies and stuff like that, I think clothing is incl. in that as well. I want the tax free holiday for guns!

    Not much different than someone from here, wanting to stay here.

    Not gonna lie, it was a big move for my wife and me. We both grew up in SoCal. Wifes family has been in OC since pre WW2. I remember going to the drive thru zoo/lion thing in Laguna or Irvine or wherever it was.

    Also remember in HS, driving to Del Mar/ beach on a dirt road- from Poway through 4S ranch. Now its all sub-divisions and businesses.
