If you go with the cheap replacement I wouldn't exchange the OEM's, Hang on to them. OEMs were expensive ($450 each) but the originals went 324,000 miles before one side split, not bad I think. I went with axles from CVJ Axles out of Denver, they will only rebuild and exchange OEM axles (they were highly recommended from others in this forum). Haven't had them on for long but so far they seem ok. I also liked that they had options for boot material that wear better on lifted trucks.

huh so they just stopped manufacturing the valve with that brass fitting I guess? That's odd. It definitely woke mine up, I was having similar issues where the blower just felt underwhelming in general. Maybe post in that same thread that Torspd mentioned for @Speedytech7, it's a 2nd gen supercharger thread mostly but they're some knowledgeable folks in there.

I agree that OEM or high end aftermarket (CVJ, RCV) axles are the way to go, but if you're in a pinch or just need some trail-spare worthy axles, NAPA has them for under $100 a piece and they're supposedly pretty good for what they are. Much better than the AutoZone or O'Reilly's equivalents, and a lifetime warranty if they break.

Hmm, I seem to have developed a dead spot in acceleration, like doesn't stop moving but just sorta flattens out

Hmm, I'll have to look. I was thinking it actually might be running too rich. Smells like it is, haven't seen the timing dip below 9 degrees yet

Do you have an AFR gauge? I've been running without one for too long, actually just pulled the trigger on an AEM wideband gauge this morning.

At idle it pulls a lot of fuel -14.1% or so, but under power it sits right around +0-2%, I think I'll remove the FPR from boost and see how it fairs with just vacuum

I was told to do the FPR boost gauge mod too but warned it could do the same thing (run rich)...gonna wait to try it out once I get my AFR gauge put in.

Truthfully I would never be able to afford the kinds of trips I do now though, nor would my truck be anywhere near as built as it is. My old hobbies were motorcycles. God it's so much faster, easier, and cheaper to work on those things.

Truck seems a bit happier with no boost reference fpr, next step is cleaning up intake tract and better boost gauge. Seems happy cruising around town and on the highway though.

Just a thought, seems like most people who boost reference the FPR have high flow fuel pumps. Is yours stock? With the big injectors and boost ref, it might be maxed out, leading to your flat spot.
