You won't be able to fit a setup like that under the bed with SUA due to how much up travel you'll have. The shock body will be too long and i bet even a 10'' shock will be too long and you'll have to bump the axle 2'' or something crazy.

its not about ride height. Its about travel. SUA will give you more up travel than a SOA axle setup. It also lowers the point where you can put mount the shock.

If you jack up the truck and end up with almost no down travel, it'll ride bad, and you won't be able to have all the up travel as you'd need a longer shock to work but the body will be too long to use all the up travel.

Ok lets say i was a 6lug swapped to sua deaver 62” with 12” shakles and mounted shock hoops out side the frame, would that work? If so what size shock would be needed?

Be a tight squeeze but do able. I think the biggest you could fit is maybe a 14 without going into the bed. maybe

You'd want a wider axle most likely to make mounting options better. Like a tundra/t100 axle.

Just fatigued. Not rusty, not loose. I always check tightness on everything, just my bad on not swapping out old bolts. Was something in the back of my mind I knew I should have done, after almost 2 years of driving around on it and several trips offroad. You live and you learn, lost 2 hours in a parking lot, could have been much much worse.

the way you worded switching to an arm setup with integrated uniballs made it seem like that would make a difference. but in your case it wouldnt

What brand of glass fenders do you have? My inner lip is like 3/4"-1" wide. I made a set for a buddy and his fenders have a really narrow inner lip and arent as thick . They were some Amazon knockoff fenders..
