And why does everyone always shoot straight to “performance” when comparing the Pro to other models?
The difference in “performance” between all the models is negligible.
When I decided to buy a Pro over an Offroad, “performance” wasn’t even on my mind. It was 100% a choice of aesthetics.

Not everyone who owns a pro wants to change out their suspension. Like me for example. I love my pro suspension and i won’t change it anytime soon. But i did update my wheels and tires(bigger) and i want to add a lift to clear my tires. People won’t agree with me putting a 3/4 toytec front spacer and aal to gain 1-1.5inch of lift but it suite my lifestyle and what i do daily with my pro. If one doesn’t like or agree with someone’s project, Jst keep it moving..

 

The only reason I didn’t buy a pro was “quicksand”

If I didn’t care about factory paint that reminds me of my 89’ pick up... I would have got the pro

 

People do think that. It makes me wonder if they’ve ever seen one.

Did you do a spacer lift?
I’m seriously considering it while I’m still in Germany. I ran a 3” RevTek spacer lift on my 2004 for damn near 100k mikes, and I was young and dumb and punished that truck- bought it in 2005. I never had a single problem with it!
I’m not allowed to have wheels/tires that stick out past my fenders, so I can’t do a 6” lift until I move back to the states. (I have 1.25” wheel spacers now, but I have to remove them for vehicle inspections)

 

lol, I don't care what so ever. All I was doing was responding to someone who stated they'd never heard of people saying not to lift a Pro. If you've been on this forum for any length of time you'd know that a lot of members have that opinion.

 

Not yet but currently talking to shops and getting pricing. Got some wheels with -20 offset and got some rubbing. Did some adjustment to inner fenders and want to add 1-1.5 lift jst to help clear it. Depending on what u do daily on ur pro, spacers shouldnt do no harm unless u wheel on a daily and put those suspension to work all the time which i don’t do. Main issue i think is to not over extend ur rear shocks with aal and spacers

 

Spacers and 6"lifts....Pro's...this is good stuff.

Why would you go from Fox internal bypasses, to Icon???

 

They dont perform, and what's a better way to kill your Pro's value than cutting the front suspension off.

They perform if all you want is the height for looks. But they create 0 offroad benefit.

 

What extra benefits are there, exactly, on a 3" lift that aren't present on a 6" lift?

wait was "common sense" part of the benefits to a 3" lift of 6" lift? because if so, I'm definitely getting a 3" lift. lol
