Can that sit any lower on the bedrails so that a cover can still close?

I'm sure you could. You'd have to figure out a bracket that would lower it. I had to use spacers so it'd work with a shell.

It was black satin Rust-Oleum. I've used it before on some of my outdoor metal chairs a few years ago and it has held up great! (no, that's not how long I had this can tho). lol

Definitely search through the Inferno thread...LOTS of them have black wheels in there and they look good. :)

Hahaha. I just installed mine and was pissed they didn’t send spacers. I used farrel nuts from compression fittings because I’m a redneck and also upped the bolt size on the mount to 3/8” and added some studs to the bottom that wedge against the bed for added support. There is no way that bed rail is sturdy enough to hold that with 4 gallons of water in it. Something will give over time.
Waterport later told me I could have used 1/2 of one of the bar mounts on the bottom to press against the bedside to relief some of the stress but I haven’t tried it.

Also I put a Prinsu on last week. Tepui RTT goes on Saturday with @caliraised bedstiffeners. :)

That's funny I literally did the bottom the exact same way for support.

What shell do you have? I'm getting ready to buy a rtt as well but was putting above the cab because I don't want to crack the shell.

ARE V series. I haven’t had a tent on it yet but I have seen people who do. I think it will be fine considering half of the weight will be supported by the ladder once you’re in the tent. I did stand on the roof of the cap once on the Prinsu and jump up and down a little. I weigh about 210ish. Didn’t hear and snaps, pops or cracks.
I am going to support the bed sides though with the stiffeners for just an added security.
