The male is actually named Hector. The female moved in a few months after they named Hector...since then they've found true romance and have moved in to start a family. I think that's the female but can't be sure unless I see the profile. She has a slightly different shape.

41 degrees and wind howling here. Tired of cold and being inside. Thinking the lack of vitamin D deal...

Kicking back in Sacramento tonight waiting to go home tomorrow. Like visiting the company facility here in California as the ladies in the office feel compelled to be good hostesses and feed you (saying no is not an option). By 9:00 there was a deep fryer going in the office kitchenette. Three variations of lumpia, pancit and turon for dessert. I won't need to eat for a while.

If you have to fly in or out of the state, that's a decent airport to do it. Easy in, easy out, away from the crazy traffic downtown.

I was thinking what is the bag limit? When is the season? What do they taste like? What does it take to get them to flush so they aren't a limb chicken? Top speed? Straight line or side to side like a woodcock in flight? Stinky scent or more like Az. Mearns Quail? And would the dog blink them?

Less than 5 more months until bird season opens. And the snow still hasn't melted yet.

I really hate the bay area...the entire bay area. When I was a kid it wasn't so bad. Now it's just a mess. When I have to go home I drive around it through Sac to Woodland then over.

Closest I get any more is the occasional visit to the Port of Oakland. Not too bad there. Like to grab lunch at Jack London Square and look out at the old Alameda air station or at least where it use to be.

Well, the deposition was today. Carefully spilled my guts.

On the plus side, I was able to negotiate acceptable terms with the new job! I'm happy and not at the same time. 14 years service ending because of crappy management. However, putting the fear of change aside, I think this is a good move. Just need to pee in a cup...
