Yeah, I am about to head out and put the stock skid back on. I'll talk to Eddy about it at AOP and see what he recommends.

 

Just bring it with you and ask him to bring you new bolts

 

It's the TRD skid different from the sr5?

 

Or stop at a fastenal on your way to aop just leave the factory skid off and keep your bolts with you so you make sure to get the right thread pitch and size

 

I don't know TBH. I think the TRD skid is an option or something, though. My OEM skid is a pretty thin piece of steel.

There's 6 bolts that come loose from the frame it looks like. I'd have to pull those out and we're already gonna have to book it to get there before evening starts setting in. I'll figure it out next week. Thanks, though!

 

Wish I could go. Probably not much a prerunner could do up there. Beside....running out of vacay days waaaay to fast this year.

For all you guys that aren't going to AOP this weekend. I still plan on getting up to Bad Creek, mustergrounds very early this Saturday morning and will explore further past hunting camp 6.

If anyone is interested, let me know before Fri eve.
I doubt I will be camping, but am going to make a day of it.

Hey @Matic you ever listen to this guy's stuff on Youtube? Pretty good IMO. He does a lot of covers by request.

 

It does. Remove the stock braces and reuse the stock bolts. Don’t need longer ones.

Dude is a character for sure and can play the shit out of some instruments. I wish I had his drum set. This is the one that got me listening to his stuff. Effen rabbit...

Picked up a sweet MXR 6 band EQ before I came into work tonight. Anxious to get it home and give it a try.

I looked at the ezdrummer after you mentioned it. It's really pretty cool and sounds good from what I heard, but I'd probably destroy my keyboard beating on it. I was always hell on skins and sticks, too.

 

Lol. Just get a cheap velocity sensitive board.
I use an m audio midi board, like $60.
It's a blast.

I want to say some of the bumper sub assembly bolts get used on the skid. Just took mine off a few weeks back for maintenance. I do know they were all bolts from the Tacoma just not the same ones used on the factory skid.

 

This would be me. Still would try it, though.
