Need suggestions on how to remove this cap. It screws in. Aluminum into steel. Have tried heat and big wrench. PB blasted too.

I think your best bet is to see how much a new one is from billy, and just cut it out.

 

He builds the swingout on the bumper. But I should ask

 

Could also tap around it with a hammer to try and knock it semi free

Yeah, you’re not gonna hurt it any, just the pc but that doesn’t matter since you’re gonna paint it. I would imagine that cap isn’t they expensive if you do end up needing to replace it

 

Or maybe the heat would dissipate faster, and it’d shrink back to size quicker? I have no idea
