Planning now for the fifth weekend in June. I see that there is five weekend in June. I'm planning for the 30th. Which is the 29th evening when I could get out of the house but it's not that far for me. Only an hour and a half drive to the trail head. There is an area at skyway and humbug Rd that can camp or there's a bad ass spot (with no service for phones or much else) but it has no name and it's a great off the path paved camp area. It's a good crawl out on Saturday morning to hit the trail to Ben Lomonds cabin.

If need be I may be able to swing a half day at work that Friday. Also can post up some paper plates on the way to the camp area. That I can do on the way to and from work also.
Trying to find my map photo I have of the camp sight for Friday night. It's a good drive home on Sunday for most so I'll try my best here.

Ok ok yeah yeah. I'm going in May and again two weeks prior to the trip. I don't use GPS either so I won't know what the mapping is like. If anyone wants to GPS it prior to the 30th I'm down for a trip.

    :D

Sounds like a fun trip. I'll have to check my work schedule to see if I can go. Any streams or lakes for fishing?

Yes Friday camp is on a stream and then there's one on the way up but not sure if it's got water above ground on the way up.

No totally not! And don't want to take the right to the lakes. It's hell to get into spring valley without lift big tires and sliders now. They done screwed it up last I saw.

I know I don't have to say it to all on here but just a reminder.
It's primative all the way so do what you need to make it an "overland" trip.
    (I really couldn't resist!)
Please remember fluids and if it goes in it has to come out so you need to adjust for that.

So even if I get an opportunity to "sleep in," my brain usually won't take it. So, for the record, fuck you, brain!

Shit I run off 6 hours. Up early to start the day really screws me for the weekends and holidays. Camping I’m usually always the first one up trying to be quiet while I make my coffee.

I sleep on average about 4 hours a night. And that’s not straight through. I’ve tried every sleep medication out there, taken sleep cessation classes, all that crap. Nothing works. Unfortunately I cannot try some of the methods you guys have mentioned due to where I work, but one day I’ll be able to.
