After my research I’ll be getting wildpeaks when my wheels finally get here. It’s been 5 months and still a month or two more of waiting or I would tell you my review. Hopefully volk gets on their shit and gets them here.

Well, I have some issues with the tires pulling hard right. Normally I would just deal with it, but if I let go of the wheel, I'm into the next lane within 100 feet. Alignment is all in spec (aligned this morning again). Going back to America's Tire tomorrow for them to see if they can cross rotate tires and it'll fix it. If it can't get fixed...Well to Falkens I go.

Read multiple threads on how the coopers pull right based on tread pattern.

From the research I've done, this seems to be a pretty hit or miss problem for some with these tires. What size did you end up going with?

Mess around with tire pressure as that plays a big role.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
It's funny you say that and I had to check for myself (and it's true in your sizes) because in the tire size I've been looking at it's just the opposite

I dropped from 37 to 35 and it got worse. Going to try lower with chalk, then higher with chalk

mine go right. i got the truck aligned and the tech was going crazy thinking it was an alignment issue. he suggested cross rotating the fronts but i have not done this yet. i want to chalk test first.

discount tire had to use a grip of weights to balance the heavy-ass ST MAXXes. i wish i got lucky with a more balanced set. i don't have enough street or off road miles to give a valid review yet.

no. straight since the beginning. and I'm pretty neurotic about the details like my alignment. I do the chalk test to set pressures, and i run 30psi front & 28 rear when warm.

Do you have aftermarket UCA's? Have the alignment shop put the passenger caster at ~4.2-4.5 degrees and the driver side at about 3.5 degrees. Mine used to pull like no tomorrow until i persuaded my firestone shop to do my custom specs. It drives like a dream now and no more pulling.

I do have JBA UCA's. Wouldn't that higher caster amount to having increased tire wear, such as excessive toe?

Not really. When you lift your truck, you should increase the caster to compensate for the different suspension geometry. Mine is set at @ 2 on the PS and 1.7 on the DS. Tire wear has been even since I’ve had the truck lifted. FYI, I have stock UCA, so getting high caster is difficult.

If they set caster at zero, lifted trucks tend to feel super squirrelly on the freeway too.

Nope. Caster does not affect tire wear, toe and camber do. With that said, the additional caster built into your UCA's allows it to be possible to increase caster and get correct toe and camber while being lifted. Trust me, your truck will drive like a total different vehicle with increased caster. So much more stable feeling.

All fixed now! Followed your specs but a little less caster (1.3 left, 2.6 right).

Although I think i’m going to switch to wildpeaks. Going to be buying the FN FX Pro rims in 17x8, and a 285/70/17 would fit much better on it.
