With those tails it is at least a 2018 ford! Pretty good trade for a little bit I think, hopefully they don't have the taco too long.

Damn. Did you have the frame coated or whatever that campaign is? That's actually pretty awesome of them to give you a new frame, esp with that many miles. You going to replace/ upgrade anything while the frame is being replaced (suspension etc...)

I’m going back to Manufacturing Engineering. Title is Senior Project/Manufacturing Engineer. The new company is a stamping and assembly house. Metal stamping presses, CNC machines, welding, assembly. I’m looking forward to a change. Currently, I’ve been in Quality for 3 years (formally a Mfg Mgr) with UTC Aerospace making guidance systems for missiles, etc. interesting stuff but too much drama. Senior management is being investigated for ethical hostile workplace problems by the mothership. I’ve had enough. Just have to get over the longer commute.

Ja. But mine doesn't have the headlight switch requirement, just the OBDII, I think. It may have the stub to plug into the back of the light switch too; I can look.

Hmmm... no ecoboost badges so that means it’s either the 5.0, in which case have fun! Or... it’s the naturally aspirated V6, in which case it should accelerate about as slowly as the Tacoma so you likely won’t notice a change. They do ride nice though!
Hmmm... I might not be able to take it from you. I’m reading that, on the new models, if you don’t have the headlight pigtail, it will remote start, run for about a minute, then stall out.

To be fair, aren't the new Tacomas built in Tex-ass?

If it's a rental mule, probably the NA 3.5

That's odd, if it's true. I know that mine has a wiring stub that runs to a switch but I don't remember what the plug end looks like.

I'm in the process of trying to do the opposite; I've always parked it in neutral. Only leave it in gear if I was parking on a hill. The truck has forced me into the habit of pressing clutch before starting at least

    Ariba Ariba! Andale Andale!

Big Horn (which the GF finds endlessly amusing, for some reason). Comes with some nice options that I wouldn't call strictly necessary but won't complain about. Heated seats & wheel, power folding mirrors, power sliding rear window, integrated garage door openers, etc.
I don't tow, so the 6.4 isn't strictly necessary (the 5.7 is still no slouch; 380hp and 400lb/ft), but I wouldn't have minded having the larger engine. The 6.4 I test drove didn't feel too different than the 5.7 accelerating or cruising, but I'd probably notice the difference if I hooked a 10,000lb trailer up behind them both. No MDS concerns with the 5.7, though, on the 2500's.
But I got a great deal on this one, $31k after some serious haggling, for a truck with 30k miles. It's been on their lot for about 6 months so they already had it marked down, and after about a month of calls and emails back & forth they finally got close enough to my terms.
