Thanks for the info, basically the same here. There are a few strip jobs that you can drive into, but unless your goal is to hill climb spoil piles there isn't much to offer. I used to race at LLR, and i bet there is some decent stuff around Preston's if you were more familiar with it. I always had a quad back there so we weren't limited to where we could go. I haven't been to bear town rocks in a few years, but I hunt in the national forest and at certain times of the year. Usually around rifle season extra roads that are more remote open up. I'm not into mudding, hill climbing, and general beating the shit out of my truck anymore, but would like to hit some mild stuff and explore some new areas that many people don't.

They reclaimed a couple of the mines years back, but the one behind Preston's is still open and if you have a quad or bike there are all sorts of trails to hit up. I'm like you though and don't want to ruin the paint just to go down those trails that I have been down countless times before. If I find any new and exciting places I'll keep you in mind.

Hmmm. I have a bike.... there's some places around me to wheel but they are pay to play. There's an old mine area right by me that I drive a lot because I hunt there. Mainly just dirt roads though. There is a couple places out by kittaning I believe I keep seeing stuff on Facebook from jeeps going there.

Idk. I'm not sure where the difference in length is if it's the rear piece that bolts to the diff not the piece with the carrier bearing that's different a driveshaft shop should be able to retube it longer. But idk. Never got around to measuring mine and measuring a short bed to see where the difference is. I may pull my rear out next week if I remember I'll measure it.

I see this as well, but haven't figured out where they go to yet. I need to figure it out. I saw a train of built jeeps the one day going the opposite direction of me. If I ever see them sitting somewhere I am going to strike up a conversation.

You might be thinking of Scrubgrass but I thought it closed.

The guy that owns the KTM dealer in kittaning on 422 ran the events there, maybe see if they still do stuff.

I haven't heard of scrubgrass, and I'll definitely check it out. If it is the shop I'm thinking of, he was is a pretty bad accident in a side by side last summer. I am not sure if it was him though. Are you talking Stiller Motorsports? Thanks for the info!
