I NEVER felt unstable with skinnes on or off road and I always ran my sway bar disconnected.

That’s what suspension is for. I’ve run skinnies in the past through the desert at 90mph. All depends on how you configure your rig. I would never put a heavy ass wide tire on these trucks. Skinnies handle way better on the ice and I don’t submerge my truck in mud. You also get better mpgs due to surface area friction reduced. I also think the look better than tires that stick way out past the wheel well...makes no sense if one cares about their paint job

My tires don't stick out past my fenders flares.

Dylon, I've seen you post screen shot before... Guessing/Assume the red dot is converter lock-up status - how did you configure PID to get red dot. I use OBD Fusion and use 0/1 for converter status, but like the dot better. Thanks.

if only they made a skinny 35" tire. I do love my 34X10.5X17s though, just want bigger and a 35X11.5X17 would be great.

Back to tune talk! Anyone noticed the VVT changes being a little more vibration-prone? Not as bad as stock by any means but those damn harmonic vibrations in the 2k RPM range used to drive me nuts stock and they haven't really been present to any real extent for me on prior tune versions but I do notice the steering vibes more w/ 1.04. Runs great, love it so not a complaint so much as an observation in comparison to 1.03. Anyone else felt this (stock exhaust and stock CAI :) )

I've noticed it's more vibey. Shifts are smooth and power is smooth but overall feel is a little more vibey than previously.

we've discussed these crazy vibes before and YES, much more
    pronounced w/ 1.04..... 1.03 nearly nullified it and I wasn't feeling it
anymore - kept thinking holy crap this update fixed the vibe as well!

Same vibes I've always had. Upgrading from 2.5 degree shims to 3 degree shims next Saturday to match working angles

    Dang! @OVTune
Thoughts on this vibe issue changing with the new tune?

Yeah, the truck is just quirky in many ways but I've had some version of the tune be nearly nullified (1.01b, 1.03 especially though 1.02c was similar in vibes to 1.04). Honestly it's probably more of a nit pick than anything because I agree the truck is shifting buttery smooth and predictable and power is so much more linear with no surges whatsoever. It's a beautiful thing really but I know small tweaks do make a difference. Hell, even the brand of gas you put in your truck in my experience will significantly change how much it vibrates. Also the reason I started running premium before the tune - because the vibes weren't nearly AS bad (though still there and annoying) as with the regular stuff!

Haven't noticed any vibes, but I may be numb to it since the roads around here look like a war zone.

On another note, I've been paying less attention to what the engine is doing and just driving, and I think I'm starting to like that this sticks to 5th gear throughout the 60mph range. It doesn't really impact fuel economy, and it has power on demand without shifting. The shift points are set perfectly to maintain around 1800-2000rpm on the highway. I have 265/70R17 tires though, so I could see people running stock tires having higher revs on the highway.

Agree. It just drives now - I'm adjusting to the 5th / 3rd stuff as well as the miles go on. And the vibes aren't a huge deal but were an observation compared to 1.03 is all.
