The Mini2 is tempting for my 7.5" upper as a truck gun setup, my 11.5 is great sans suppressor but with the 7.9" can it's rather bulky, with the Reece 5 it would add only 4.9" with the minimalist device.
I've also heard good things about the sandman series, Q also has good reviews, I've had my hands on a Q half nelson when I picked up my Optimus and I was impressed with how light it was.

I'm a little jealous that you have the capability to use the IR features, I want to get into NV/FLIR but it's flipping expensive.

Cause you'd have to buy night vision as well... IR isn't gonna be very useful without it...

Talking to me? Yeah, the only "cheap" way to get into NV is DIY or the ATN X-Sight.

A guy here at work has been telling me to build my first AR and buy all the stuff needed except the lower receiver through Davidson Defense. How is the quality of their stuff? I'm thinking(still) building or just buying the M&P Sport II. Davidson Defense has some pretty cheap complete uppers except lower and BCG.

For $4700, I would look into getting dual tubes instead of just the mono.

I wouldn't touch that stuff, personally. You can get an affordable, quality build together if you look in the right places. A "blemished" BCM upper receiver is only $60. Rosco, Ballistic Advantage, and Faxon barrels are in the $150 range. Couple that with a SOLGW bolt carrier group and you're off to a damn good start.

I can't imagine a set of dual tubes are going to be of decent quality for that price (unless I've been looking in the wrong places?) It seems even on the low end, they're upwards of $6-7k and most are in the $8-12k range

I didn't mean that you could get a good pair of dual tubes for $4700 (if you can let me know cause I'd be all about that) but that if you were looking at spending that much already, why not wait and for $2300 more get a solid dual pair that you will like WAY more than a mono.

Edit- Aero precision upper / M lock hand guard and. BA Hanson profile 18” .223 Wylde barrel. Still undecided what I’m going to use for a brake/flash suppressor

Sounds akin to the slippery slope of my truck build haha. But yeah, I'd probably like it more. It's hard to say without handling them in person. I've tried doing some research but all I could really find was that there's benefits to each and it comes down to purpose and personal preference.

Hey guys I need your help,
I’m trying to get a lower parts kit from BCM
I’ve talk to cheaper than dirt and BCM
And stated that they can not ship to CA due to restrictions. Where can I get this kit if I even can?

Major price gouging when bans were being talked about, 30 round Pmags were at least $80 a piece, and used USGI mags were listed at $99.99.
