    Dude... we have a trek thread... epic win!!! Now I get to go full nerd mode.

    Seeing how I didn't see this discussed I have to start the fodder...

    Who do you think is the better Kirk... Shatner or Pine?!

    I'm new school... I like Pine... plus I only came into the trek universe at TNG... and... I liked what they did in the reboot... the parallel time thing.

    And I totally got stomped on... that didn't work so well.

    I'm still a TNG fan... it was about the exploration... DS9 and Voyager was all about war. Jean Luke could own either Sisco or Janeway. And I grew up dreaming about Dr. Crusher.

    And the characters interacted solo much better. Jussayin...

    I have that exact set also. Didn’t want the remastered, wanted the originals in all their cheesy glory. They replaced the 78 VHS tapes I was lugging around for 20 years.

    Funny... the only reason I had a vcr for so long is so I could watch my taped episodes of TNG...

    Interwebz to the rescue!!! Hulu had them for a while... dunno if they still do... anybody know the answer to this?

    The first 2 seasons TNG were remastered nicely for Blu-ray. Not sure if Netflix or Hulu has the remastered episodes.

    Third season and later were excellent “Star Trek”! When I was in the Air Force we would fill the day room on Star Trek night. There was no debate what was going to be on the TV!

    I was kind of like that with Stargate SG-1 at first. Was used to seeing Richard Dean Anderson as MacGyver. After 10 seasons of SG-1, I'm more used to him as Jack O'Neal now.
