What's a good pre emissions diesel truck? Thinking that will be best for my journey so I can put the dirtbike in the bed and then in the future carry my daughters dirtbike as well :D

    Now you're thinking.

A 7.3L Excursion has a lot of room and will pull your camper.

Went in for driveline vibes... Dealership calls and says they want to replace my frame
Anyone in here had that done and have any tips? Sounds like they're going to charge me for some hardware which seems like crap. They also want me to cut off my rock sliders

Driveline vibes are a characteristic of the vehicle...

But a bunch of people have recently had frames replaced.

They just issued a extended service warranty on driveline vibes and apparently are replacing u-joints and carrier bearings. I was taking my truck in to have some other work done and thought I would have them check it out. Didn't think anything was going to come of it since my truck is lifted but figured I'd give it a shot. I'm still in shock they told me they were going to replace my frame since my truck is from AZ and been in CO most of it's life.

Toyota only provides a certain number of parts related to the frame replacement. Even though, many more parts can break on removal. Toyota considers those parts wear/customers responsibility. Toyota does not include any extra labor for aftermarket accessories.

Groove will not touch a frame without $1k pre authorized.

Very specifically, that warranty enhancement only covers vibrations caused by worn universal joints. Angles, carrier bearing, damage are not covered and can actually be exclusions.

I'm curious if this warranty enhancement is another jab at Dana for the frame mess. I'll look at the next frame that comes in and see who the manufacturer is.

Turned mine in January 3rd and got it back on March 1st. Had to cut off my sliders too. Currently waiting on brackets to be cut so I can bolt on to new frame. Also had to remove front bumper, skids, bed rack, and ARB compressor. I had them replace cab mounts, install steel braided brake lines, inner/outer tie rods, and 1 axle. Owed a little over $800 in labor cost after all was said and done.

We had one guy come in with a lot of his own parts like new exhaust, brake lines, suspension stuff. He basically (unknowingly) brought in all the common parts that can't be saved due to rust and walked out the door for less than $300.

I too provided all the new parts and still got bent over from what I can tell. Oh well.

Yea I showed you the ticket. They charged like 2hrs labor for everything extra they had to do.

I didn't even think about my arb bumper. I suppose they would want extra to deal with that... should I just remove that myself?

Yea that's what I was told. All the wiring under the hood can stay as long as it's attached to the body.
