I got $850 for mine. It took about a month of patience on Facebook. Just need the right buyer at the right time!

Any issues at all with the aftermarket roof rack? Quality, fitment?
Would like one myself but can't justify the hefty price for a Toyota OEM unit.

Well I have 2.5 front, 2 rear with 32's and no rubbing. 33's would need cmc.

I’ve enjoyed having mine in there. Initially I was using stone coasters. Got tired of the clink clunk sounds every time I set my coffee cup down.

    Man, that graphic looks awesome.

Great job on the application, too.

Any trouble putting it on ?

Nice. I’m looking forward to a box from @CaliRaisedLed that should be here by next weekend. You just may have inadvertently caused me to pull the trigger on another order. Seeing your pics has me thinking those make for great mounts for bed lights as well as another means for locking coolers.

It doesn’t seem too hard with the right tools (beer being one of those tools, by the way happy belated 420 to all those that partake). I probably won’t put one on the Tacoma but with my 03 corolla it was more of a completely one off idea that I really wanted to try and there was nothing I wouldn’t do to it because I was so familiar with it. It became a boat (S.S. White Lightning) at one point a couple years ago and I’ll admit not a great idea at the time or ever, but I went through some water that came up over my hood and started taking in water through the body grommets (?)(they’re little rubber stoppers in the floorboards?). I had to take my whole car apart and air dry the carpet. I don’t know if having a manual helped or hurt the fact that I could keep the engine running by fluttering the clutch and gas but I figured my intake wasn’t gurgling so I could keep going. And if I stopped momentum in the middle of the “lake” I wouldn’t be able to start moving again because I wasn’t touching the ground. So that’s my story of why you shouldn’t drive through high water. It ran fine for a few more years after that too. I was looking at new, more powerful engines to drop in it and basically enough new parts to build a whole new corolla because it was never the same after that but figured I should put that money as a down payment on the truck I’ve wanted since I was a wee lad. I miss that car (my mom was the first owner and bought it at the end of 2002 and I bought it from her in 2012, so we went through a lot) but the Tacoma more than makes up for the loss. All I have now are memories. And life lessons. And a hankering for the manual transmission.

    Ok.. the horns are in!!!

Now for getting them in the truck.

Step 1.. get the grill out the way.

You could see that those two little stock horns needed to go.

Look at them.. so small and sad.

When you stack them next to the Cadilac horns.. just no contest.

Ok for mounting, I had to drill the holes out more than they came, but that is because I went with a tree format rather than a standard mount.

Measuring for fit. I bought a 36" threaded piece.. and just cut it to fit with a hacksaw.

My test fit had everything bouncing back and forth. I used simple nuts and washers to move everything to where I wanted and hold it in place.

Finally you can see how well everthing sits in the third gen. I just used some simple L brackets from the hardware store to mount everything up. I went for this instead of using the center column as I didn't want to block my radiator and I didn't want anything visible from the front.

This is driving along.. remember that my truck has an insane amount of sound proofing already.. I love that deep tone.

Out in the driveway... gotta love that echo! (pay no attention to the barefoot and pajamas.. its saturday.. dont judge me)
