    Hi All,

after a 7 year hiatus I am back on the Tacoma Forums. my Tundra got totaled in an accident that was not my fault. Today I just Purchased a Brand New 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road with Premium package and manual Transmission. Anything I need to be aware of or suggestions for cool mods, or anything to change?

Oh, I paid 33,300 for it. Did I get a good deal on it or no?

    Like, so many.
Yeah, that sounds like a good deal.
Get the Hondo radio knobs. Cost is minimal.
Paint that front tow hook. All the cool kids are doing it.
Black out the badges or take them off.
Swap out the front grille. Check out the BAMF Eco.

Welcome. You may have forgotten but..

    :worthless:

    Inexpensive but great mods:

Get all sort of Tacoma specific decals from @rrentrop's ebay shop.

Get hood decal or stripes from @mcmnos4r2.

can someone give me a basic 101 on the TRD. The only reason I got the TRD was the manual transmission. I do off-road, but I always had the SR Model. (Tacoma and Tundra) what is the difference in the SR and The TRD off Road?

You have a rear locker, nicer seat upholstery, nicer nav, and some minor things such as the fender flares in black, the different wheels, and suspension.

Rear locker. Nicer suspension. Better tires. Nicer wheels. Tow package (I think the SR does not include it but I may be wrong). Front recovery hook.

Get rid of those wheels. They are hideous.

Went to the dealer today and picked up a mat. The bed is like a ice skating rink without it. It was cheaper than I thought it would be from the dealer. $100 out the door. Well worth it.

Congrats. I think you got the tech package, not the premium for 33k. Easiest way to tell is if you have a sunroof and leather seats.

Get the Hondo phone mount kit as well. It is outrageously over priced but it works well.
