Well, the way it’s done, is, you hit the lake at like 0400 and you go topwater. Then you load up the boat at about 1000 and you go home and sit in the A/C till the sun starts setting, then you go jump in the pool.

:anonymous: Russell Moccasin Grand Slam Sheep Hunters. As long as they are custom made I commisoned them to add 2" to the height, triple shank, and extra toe caps because that is where I wear out boots first especially in the Dakotas.

I have a number of Filson articles including a couple of hats. For blowing snow in the winter I wear the fold down wool ear flap cover cloth hat. And still sweat at 20 below zero. I can't imagine how hot the tin cloth hat is. But then again they have gone down hill now that every lumber sexual out there likes to wear Filson. Tin Cloth just isn't what it used to be.

Tim a lot of people don't know that some of Deliverance was filmed around what is now Lake Jocassee... just saying :D

There are browns that big here in the driftless region which is limestone creeks. During the summer a number of 10 plus pounders are caught usually at night. And bait is listed as cut bait. Been here for almost 20 years now and still not sure what cut bait is but I normally fly fish.

I hope that things turn out OK with the FIL. And that he is able to a sense of humor about the situation that goes a long ways.

Did someone say steaks? Got a new toy for the kitchen today. Be another late night supper but you can't rush excellence. Even if it is $20 a pound ribeye cap steak. Sons like their steaks well done so are happy with choice Sirloin. Fine by me saves on the grocery bill. But gave theirs a bunch of perforations also and then kosher salt and Chicago steak seasoning. Been in the fridge for 3 hours now sitting at room temp for an hour and a half before they hit the grill.

Just q'd up a bunch of chicken thighs, tossed them in Kraft Original and some have a shot of Frank's, then back on the grill. Also threw on a stray jalepeno, 3 Anaheims, a sweet onion and a few Mexican squash (similar to zucchini). Found 2 small bags of baby white potatoes that are out there now on the remainder of the coals on a disposable cake pan with a little butter.
