Eibach pro-truck lift kit

anyone have any experience with these, looking to get started on my stock tacoma and after some research found this lift kit- any advice/recommendations are welcome thank you

I just put the pro-truck sport shocks in the rear. I really like them but I have no personal experience with 5100s to compare. I really want to buy the front struts now.

 

I'm waiting for more. I was looking at the full lift what do you have in the front? @Depoxy

 

I have trd sport bilsteins with wheelers superbumps. The front used to out perform the rear with stock trd rear shocks. Kinda the opposite now

 

I had the chance to test out the suspension at Eibach in Corona California. Mark lend me the key to his truck which had Eibach'Pro-Truckck lift system (stage 1). I took it to the trails to test it out and had a blast. I felt bad returning the truck full of mud, but I had to test the suspension. The overall feel of the suspension was incredible, I would hit potholes bumps and roots at max speed. The suspension held up like a champ. Going up through the trail was smooth and fun, I was not having a bad time jumping all over the seat. I just finished buying a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road and the first thing I will be doing to it is installing this kit. Along with Deaver 10 leaf pack.

 

Just updating this since I've been running the eibachs front and rear set at 0.8" of lift for a couple months now. The setup is extremely comfy and handles poorly paved roads like a champ. It does feel like I have more body roll compared to the trd sport struts, but that is likely caused by the lift raising the center of gravity. Offroad it performs much better than the stock suspension, though sometimes it feels like it needs a little more aggressive damping to prevent me from riding on the bumpstops (superbumps front and rear for reference). However, I trust the engineers at Eibach more than my butt suspension dyno and I am very happy with the setup overall.

 

Installed mine today with wheelers 3 leaf aal. So far the on road manners are significantly improved. Ill get into the dirt on Saturday..

 

My brother has it on his 3rd gen along with the SPC UCA and some AAL purchased from Amazon.

Update? What kind of off roading are you doing? Washboard roads and pot holes? Slow speed crawling? Did you get UCAs? I'm considering these with Eibach lift springs.

 

Are you guys talking about the kit with coils or just the adjustable struts with factory coils?

I’m just trying to compare apples to apples.

 

Love that Cement color and the Calvary blue as well.

 

I love the setup. Fire roads with potholes seem to be even smoother, even with the heavier tires. Truck stays flatter during street driving as well. I did add SPC UCAs to get my alignment dialed back in as well. Just waiting for Superpro to send me a test set of LCA bushings now

 

Interested in this kit. Does anyone know if I can fit 285/65/18s while using this kit? I'm torn between this kit and the readylift 3" kit. I know readylift will allow me to fit that tire and wheel package. Not sure if I would need to add upper control arms with the eibach kit either.

 

Something interesting I came across last night on the @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc site.

"Eibach says these are good for 0-1" lift. We find that to be a conservative figure as they are as long as some shocks from other manufacturers that are good for up to 2.5" lift. These measure 14.92" collapsed x 24.09" extended."

I looked, and they're correct if the measurements are true. That would put these with 1" longer of an extended length of a standard 5100 and about even with a 5160(still less overall travel though than the 5160). Also 1/2" longer extended than an OME Nitrocharger. Just something to consider if you're trying to squeeze a little extra down travel out of a setup.

 

What size tires you running here with this set up?

Sweet, I have those same tires right now. Still running this set up? The stance is exactly what I’m looking for. I was worried if I went with this lift my tires would look to small, but I honestly think it looks perfect after seeing your truck. Ever get the chance to test it off pavement?
