The problem if you dont know is, the pin of the shackle should be in the eye of the rope, or choker/ strap. The problem with this picture is the shackle will slide on the rope with tension. This causes the pin to roll out or seize up tight.

Yep. Tomorrow night is my last one. Then a week off. Running up to Issaquah on Wednesday for the shock replacement.
I seem to miss a lot of the good stuff! Lol

Finally got my rear sorted. Any thoughts on plate relocation? I have some doodad to go in the middle of the spare to hold lights and TREDS so it would need to be somewhere else.

Also I drove around with an obscured license plate for several months and never had an issue. Even got pulled over once (for something unrelated) and the cop never commented on it.

 

I hopped in here because of dat ass, but thought I'd give my input. I'd try for something here.

 

I'm thinking a swing to the side bracket on the first rung.

 

Solid. I might wait until i have an issue and just go that route. I'd like to do something lit just incase I have to travel through a less accommodating and would like to avoid any ...Imperial entanglements.

My buddy keeps trying to convince me I should run without a front plate and im pretty sure i would get pulled over before I got out of my driveway.

 

I run without a front plate on my daily. I've never been pulled over in 6 years commuting from ellensburg to seattle, but in one week I was pulled over 3 times in yakima when we where doing a job down there. I think it just depends where your at and the mood of the cop.

 

This and how your driving is can be a big factor. Speeding, following close, switching lanes a lot to get around people etc.. I’ve been followed by cops in the cruiser and haven’t been pulled over (knock on wood..) even though it’s pretty illegal in a few different ways. I just don’t drive fast in it and have been fine
