More skinny pedal next time carry those front wheels further.

 

That woulda destroyed my driveshaft. It was close and we thought it'd be good, but once I started winching we could see it was gonna hit. Had to put another rock in front of the tire.

 

@EatSleepTacos we need to fix your bed. That bitch is sagging big time.

 

What're you looking at? Looks just fine to me.

EDIT: My cap is made for a regular cab, so it's straight up instead of contouring to the cab. Maybe that's what's throwing you off.

 

I was looking at body lines and gap at bottom of bed vs gap at top of bed.

 

In which pic? Or the vid? I think it's a hair off, but it's nothing I'm concerned about. Having all that weight at the very back sure as hell isn't helping any. Maybe on a warm spring day I'll remove my drawer system and check the my bed bolts are tight

Yeah, it's a little droopy since there's no weight on the back tires. It did the same thing when we had it up on your lift. @ovrlndkull and myself just chocked it up to a little frame flex since that's like 700 extra lbs hanging off the ass end of the truck, with like 400 of that at the very end.

edit: If we're ever feeling froggy it wouldn't be a bad idea to box the back of the frame and create a tube cross member

 

I think part of it is the manufacturers trying to deal with NVH and making frames that can flex some to help with that. So once you add a bunch of weight to the ass you see that flex. There is a youtube video that shows how much a ford superduty frame flexes in comparison to the dodges. Riding in both the ford is much smoother riding truck for a HD truck like that. I think that either boxing the frame at the kickup for the bed or at least skinning it there with thicker plate will help as well. There is that bed issue where the bed eats itself on the frame thus causing the loose bolts and the fix was to put a tin piece of UHMWPE in between the bed and frame to allow the bolts to tighten properly which could also be a cause.
