I was able to snag some gunmetal Ray10’s last year and went with 17’s for this reason:

Ultimately ended up going with Falken Wildpeak in 265/70/17.
Was surprised that they rubbed the fender liner but the heat gun alleviated most of eat. Just sped up the process of getting the lift on. :D

I was able to reach in without issue and place both of them in the low beams. I barely use my highs, but might be flipping them too to LED when the price is right.

I started with the driver's side as there is a little more room to place and see. The bulb on the end of the stem is the heat sink and fan. It has a converter or chipset that is a little farther away and hangs down. I might zip tie that later just so it doesn't hit anything when moving.

The drive home was great. My passenger side kicks up a little higher than I want on the far right side, but otherwise, they hit exactly where the originals did, but with a farther reach, wider spray, and cleaner white light. Perfect for what I wanted. Night and day difference and highly recommended. I'll see if I can adjust the passenger side issue.

Logistics91 makes (3d prints) the switch plate and sells it for $15 on his site. He does 2 or 3 switch plate buttons., perfect fit and the OEM blank fits great from the dealership for $7 in case you want to add on later.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
The one time I needed a windshield replaced, I just called up my insurance agent and he arranged the replacement and picked up the tab. Might be part of the optional road service I've been paying for (cheap, and I like having a single number to call should I break down away from home).

Just a mention that it seems replacement windshields might not be of the same quality as oems. The replacement was full of a billion tiny scratches in almost no time. I was talking with a guy that went through 3 aftermarket windshields before finally springing for the oem himself. He had problems with the replacements not being "optically clear" (there was some hazing or "swirls").

How much did these cost you? I got lucky and found the fronts on ebay for $60. Now I just need to get the rears covered.

Nice! I've been wanting to see what a 3rd gen looks like with steelies. More so on a BBP. Those black d-windows were my first choice for wheels but now the gold/copper ray 10s are sucking me in:anonymous:

I had the exact opposite trajectory! At first I was looking at the black Ray10s but then the combo of trying to get a particular offset and the high cost to get someone to do a custom alloy rim, led me to Stockton Wheel Service to get my steelies! :bananadance:

Looks like it's time for an aluminum oil filter housing or see if someone is willing to sell you their stock one.
