Why spray paint it? I thought powdercoating is the best thing since sliced bread.

Touch ups. PC is chipping now.

I haven't tried anything else yet. Possibly Monday, as I have work this weekend

Twisted mine off by hand, re-applied antiseize and screwed it back in by hand. About the same torque as a spin on oil filter.

thanks. Monday Im going to attempt @EatSleepTacos method of drilling 2 holes for bolts, and using some flat bar or a pry bar to unscrew. I bought that big bottle of anti-seize and I plan to put it to good use

I think spindle can be removed from hub, without taking axle nut off the axle?

    End goal: remove spindle

Looking at these two pics, it looks like it would have to come off. The wheel bearing assembly is in the way.

Yeah I remember you saying that. Hopefully removing the nut will help clean up the threads so you can put it back on. Worst case, don't you have a spare CV?

It'd be a good temporary fix at least, so your truck is drive able until you figure something out.

True, but you're gonna have to deal with that fucked up CV axle at one point or another. Who knows, maybe it'll go off and on super easy!

personal preference. I didnt like the tent being that tall above the cap/roof line. I think the top of the cap was at the same height as the Prinsu, then the cap rack was +5" taller, and the tent is +9" on top of that.

fyi the axle nut holds the wheel bearing together. it will always have to come off to remove a spindle
